THE PREFERENCES DIALOG

Accessed via the Preferences Sub-Menu in the QuarkXPress Edit Menu or by option clicking the palette control area.

High: how high the info adjuster can go for the particular bump selected on the Bump List

Low: the lower limit of what you can set a bump to. Remember, it doesn't make sense to bump something zero.

Bump: the current bump setting for the selected bump. This can also be set at any time using the pop-up info adjuster.

To change a setting hit Set and when you hit OK, This will be saved in your System Preferences Folder.

Round text to nearest .5 pt will make sure you don't end up with point sizes like 8.462, but 8.5 instead. When this is on, you may experience re-flow since exact proportionality may not be retained.

Use IntelliScale makes it so your text and graphics are scaled proportionally even though you are scaling horizontally, overall.

The Palette Layout Options are pretty self-explanatory. See the small vertical palette to the right.
