What is ConvertToAXT?

ConvertToAXT is an XTensions "to QuarkXPress" that allows you to convert documents created by Phonyx to be opened and used by ArabicXT.

ConvertToAXT works under QuarkXPress version 3.32 and 4.1 and supports the Macintosh operating system.

How to activate ConvertToAXT?

Once ConvertToAXT is installed and activated, when you run QuarkXPress a new menu item ConvertToAXT will appear in the menu bar of QuarkXPress. The ConvertToAXT menu item contains the following menu entries:
- Convert Phonyx Document
- Set Replacement Fonts
- Register ConvertToAXT
- About ConvertToAXT

How to use ConvertToAXT?

ConvertToAXT converts the Arabic Phonyx text to the default ArabicXT font. It can also convert the text with different Phonyx fonts to different AXt fonts according to your choice.

The conversion process is simple and fast. Below is a briefing on how to use ConvertToAXT:

"Set Replacement Fonts.

The first step to be done is to setup your replacement fonts in order to be able to convert every Phonyx font into a specific ArabicXT font. This can be done once and then, the same settings will be used in order to convert every Phonyx document.

Once Set Replacement fonts is selected, a dialog box appears with a list of all Phonyx fonts that are available to QuarkXPress. Choose every font and Replace it with an AXt font.

Convert Phonyx Document.

Once a document is opened, this menu item is enabled. Once you choose this option, the current document is converted to ArabicXT format.
